ELO 2021 launches next week with a variety of virtual talks, workshops, and arts performances from May 24th - May 28th, as well as several permanent online exhibitions.

We are looking forward to launching the COVID E-Lit exhibition on Saturday, May 1, 2021 as part of the ELO 2021 Platform (Post?) Pandemic Arts program.

Winnie Soon and Geoff Cox present their new book Aesthetic Programming, which "explores the technical as well as cultural imaginaries of programming from its insides." In addition to print and PDF, the book is both available as an interactive website and as an Open Source repository.

Commenting on the power and control of technology the artwork uses the framework of the game 4-Card Monte to explore how we as users are led to believe that we are in control only to find out the game is rigged… The work has been selected for showcase at Ars Electronica Festival.
